Easter 2011

Get-away... Blue Mountains
Much needed change of scene it was wet from the word 'go'
From the moment we left home
But it didn't bother as we jostled over prams and a good meal
An extra long table for too many couples seemed to disgruntle the waiter who brought our food

Along with the rain it didn't bother us as we discarded the prams to carry on our gathering
Back at the homestead where we were staying
The couples too many, ate the too plenty cake
And drank coffee and talked until the peak hour took most of them home
We then, with our neighbours alone
Dressed comfy, read comfy and made ourselves at home
A glass of wind-me-down and a home cooked meal
The clock took us past midnight and our rather liberal word quota
Wake to the sound of bacon and eggs pitter pattering with the rain again
He took the lead, our neighbouring friend
To dip our toes in to deep discussion
And this was the best, this slice of time

When the two, with their friends
Discussed 'abiding in the vine'
And then when all through, hearts on the table, thoughts off our chest
We walked, dreamed and got drizzling wet
And as the sun set to grey and then to black again

It didn't bother as we spent time with our neighbouring friends....

Where we stayed: Lorna at Leura
(Our Rating: 5++ Stars)

You might discover that I really liked the Zebra chair...

{above} A friend that my three year-old buddy and I watched for many moments of snail gazing pleasure!
Remaining thoughts
"Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing." - Jesus (John15:4-5)
